Draft Placeholder — Not a Final Legal Document.
This is a transparency notice describing how Legacy Bridge AI Academy currently handles student data during early access and beta. This policy has not been reviewed by an attorney and is not a finalized legal document. A complete, attorney-reviewed Privacy Policy will be published before any paid public launch. 1. What Is Legacy Bridge AI Academy
Legacy Bridge AI Academy is an online learning platform offering courses in language, culture, technology, life skills, and personal growth. The academy is currently in early access and beta. Some features, payment flows, and data systems are still being developed.
2. What Information We Collect
During early access, we collect the following information when you create an account or use the platform:
- Account information: Your name and email address, provided when you register or sign in.
- Usage activity: Course enrollments, lesson progress, and AI Instructor interactions associated with your account.
- K-12 guardian information: If you enroll a child through the K-12 Academy, we collect guardian name, email, and relationship during the consent process.
- Technical information: Standard browser and server logs, including IP address and device type, collected automatically by Cloudflare infrastructure.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your student account
- To track your course enrollments and learning progress
- To deliver AI Instructor responses through the OpenAI API (your messages are sent to OpenAI's servers to generate responses — OpenAI's own privacy policy applies)
- To send important account or academy notifications
- To process guardian consent for K-12 students
- To improve the academy platform during beta development
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. What Is Not Active Yet
The following data systems and features are planned but not currently active:
- Payment processing: Stripe payment integration is not yet live. No payment data is collected or stored at this time.
- Analytics tracking: No third-party analytics or advertising trackers are currently active on the platform.
- Email marketing: No automated marketing emails are sent at this time.
- Community data: Community features are local-only during beta. Posts are not shared with other users or stored on a server.
- Academy Credits: The credit system is planned but not yet active. No credit balances are stored or processed.
5. Data Storage and Security
Student account data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database managed through Cloudflare's infrastructure. Authentication uses JSON Web Tokens (JWT). API keys and secrets are stored as Cloudflare Worker environment variables and are never exposed in frontend code.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure. Legacy Bridge AI Academy is a small founder-operated platform currently in beta. You use the platform with the understanding that security systems are still being finalized.
6. Third-Party Services
The academy currently uses the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, edge computing, and database infrastructure
- OpenAI — AI Instructor responses (your questions are sent to OpenAI's API; OpenAI's privacy policy applies to those interactions)
- Stripe — payment processing (not yet active; will apply once enrollment payments go live)
We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.
7. Children and K-12 Students
The K-12 Academy section is designed for students in Kindergarten through Grade 12. Guardian consent is required before a K-12 account is activated. K-12 accounts operate in child-safe mode with restricted content access.
If you believe a child's data has been collected without proper guardian consent, please contact us immediately at antoniofromhawaii@gmail.com.
8. Your Rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete your account data at any time by contacting us. During beta, these requests are handled manually. A self-service account management system is planned for a future update.
9. Changes to This Policy
This placeholder policy will be replaced with a complete, attorney-reviewed Privacy Policy before paid public launch. We will notify enrolled students when a finalized policy is published.
